Carlsen in his post had revealed personal messages sent by Dvorkovich to his father in which the president of the Fide promised that the players would not be prevented from participating in the Grand Slam tour of Freestyle chess despite the fight in progress. However, Fide later asked the players to sign an exemption before participating in the tour to stay eligible for the world championship cycle.
