Agam Berger was appointed on Friday as one of the four hostages which will be published on Saturday by Hamas as part of the second week of the first phase of a hostage fire contract.
Last week, Hamas released Emily Damari, 28, Romi Gonen, 23, and Doron Steinbrecher, 31,
Shepherd, now aged 20, was abducted on October 7 and taken to Gaza when she was still in pajamas.
With constant disturbances for reports and chaos inflicted during Hamas’ attacks, the family only discovered that Berger had been abducted on October 8. It was the father of Berger who discovered what had happened to the 19 -year -old man when he discovered images of her kidnapping on a telegram channel in Hamas.
Berger was removed alongside Liri Albag, Karina Ariev, Daniella Gilboa and Naama Levy from the Nahal Oz base when Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7, 2023.
“My daughter is 19 years old. She is a teenager. I cannot imagine what crossed her mind when she saw that happening before her,” her father told the media line, while Describing some of the testimonies that has been told about the brutality of Hamas against soldiers.
Merav Berger, Berger’s mother, previously told Israeli media that she believed that her daughter was behind the braids carried by released hostages.
The Hidabroot channel published a report last year in which Merav was recorded saying that her daughter “had braided the hair of other women before their release”.
“It is (braid) was Agam who braids the hair of the girls she knows is released while she stays.”
Before October 7
Before being kidnapped in Gaza, Berger was known as a talented violinist who liked to travel. She also volunteered with disabled children.
Berger’s dedication to her family has proven, even if she remained captive. His father said the hostage released Agam Goldstein -Almog called him for his birthday – under the instruction of his daughter – to send her wishes.
