Hamas releases ‘psychological terror’ video showing hostage Noa Argamani’s voice, sparking outcry from his family

Hamas released a “psychological terror” video of what is believed to be the voice of Noa Argamani, sparking outcry from her family and activists who called on the government to repatriate her and the other hostages from Gaza.

The 26-year-old student was kidnapped from the Nova music festival during the deadly October 7 terrorist attack and taken to Gaza with around 250 other hostages.

The video of Noa being kidnapped on the back of a motorcycle became symbolic of the horrors civilians faced at the festival and in southern Israel when violence erupted.

She then appeared in a chilling hostage video in January, speaking to the camera alongside fellow captives Yossi Sharabi, 53, and Itai Svirsky, 38. The two men were then allegedly killed, with Noa forced to announce their deaths.

In new audio, we can hear what appears to be Noa’s voice, accompanied by drawings that her family says were made by the young woman.

The voice identified as Noa can be heard saying: “I am imprisoned with the Al-Qassam Brigades (the armed wing of Hamas).

“I have been in captivity for more than 237 days and I don’t know for how long.

“I say to the people of Israel: have you become government partners of Netanyahu, Gallant and Gantz? Will my fate with my colleagues resemble that of Ron Arad?

Ron Arad was an Israeli aviator who jumped from his plane during a mission over southern Lebanon in 1986 and was taken hostage. Israel has been trying to locate him for decades, but he is now presumed dead.

The disturbing statement continues: “Let thousands of women and men go out and block the streets of Tel Aviv and not return home until we return home. Do not put our fate in the hands of Netanyahu and the War Council.

” Hurry up. The people must decide. We don’t want to die here.

The Argamani family released a statement via the Hostages and Missing Families forum shortly after the video began airing, asking that it not be released.

Shortly after, the forum released the following statement, allowing the video to be released with the family’s approval.

“After assessing the situation and receiving additional information, the Argamani family approved the use of a video in which Noa Argamani was heard being held hostage by Hamas,” the statement said.

“Alongside Noa’s voice, drawings are shown, which the family believes to be doodles that Noa drew.”

The forum’s statement continued: “125 men and women have been held hostage by Hamas for 238 days. The Israeli government must heed the call and act decisively, without the need for any Hamas propaganda video, to quickly reach an agreement to bring the hostages home!’

Noa’s mother, Liora Argamani, has stage 4 brain cancer and has repeatedly expressed her desire to see her daughter again.

The young woman is one of around a hundred people believed to still be held hostage in Gaza. She is one of 19 women still detained by the terrorist group.

Some of the survivors who were freed from Gaza during the hostage exchange and ceasefire agreement in November described being tortured, sexually assaulted and starved in captivity.

Noa’s current location is unknown. Israel views all hostage videos as a form of psychological warfare.

The clip of his voice is the third hostage video released this week, the previous two having apparently been released by the Palestinian terrorist group Islamic Jihad.
