Hamas rejected the Israeli ceasefire offer presented earlier this week, according to a senior Hamas, rather calling a “complete” proposal to end the war.
The manager told CNN: “The offer is rejected in full and detail.”
The rejection prompted the far -right Israeli legislators to make an immediate climbing in Gaza, urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to unleash “hell” and to continue the “complete victory”.
The Israeli cease-fire proposal did not guarantee the end of the war and called for a disarmament of Gaza, which were both red lines for Hamas. The militant organization refuses to renounce its weapons and the demand that any proposal includes a permanent end of war.
“We want a complete package,” said the manager.
The Israeli plan called for a 45-day truce, during which the two parties would aim to negotiate a permanent ceasefire.
As part of the proposal, the 59 remaining hostages would be published in stages, starting with American-Israeli Edan Alexander on the first day of the truce as “special gesture” in the United States. Nine other Israeli hostages are said to be released in two stages in exchange for 120 Palestinian prisoners serving perpetuity sentences and more than 1,100 detainees detained without accusation since October 7, 2023.
Israel’s proposal also requires Hamas to provide information on living Israeli hostages, which remain held by the group, “in exchange for information on Palestinian prisoners” and the release of bodies of 16 Israeli hostages who died for the remains of 160 Palestinians who died deceased by Israel.
Hamas studied the proposal for several days before responding. But from the start, the proposal has been unlikely to be successful. Hamas had repeatedly clarified that it demanded the end of the war in the context of any hostage version, and it refused calls for complete disarmament. Hamas also called for a complete withdrawal of the Israeli Gaza forces, while the Israeli proposal included only a temporary redeployment of the army.

In a television statement by Qatar on Thursday evening, Khalil al-Hayya, head of the negotiation delegation, said: “Resistance and its weapons are linked to the existence of the occupation (Israeli), and it is a natural right for our people and all peoples under occupation.”
Al-Hayya insisted that Hamas is “immediately” ready to start negotiations for a complete agreement which would see the release of the remaining hostages for a “agreed number” of Palestinian prisoners. Such an agreement would include the start of the reconstruction of Gaza and the end of the Gaza blockade.
The Minister of Israeli far -right finance, Bezalel Smotrich, said that Israel would continue his bombing of Gaza. “The State of Israel will not go to Hamas and did not end the war without the complete victory and the achievement of all its objectives, in particular by eliminating Hamas and returning all hostages,” he said in a statement.
The Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir echoed Smotrich, writing on Telegram: “No agreement, no ceasefire and no help-only the continuation of the fights until the surrender of the Nazis of Gaza. Activate any strength and could until Hamas kneel. ”
The Hope forum, a right -wing group representing the families of the hostages, tweeted: “Only massive military pressure, a total blockade and the capture of the territory will oblige Hamas to carry out an agreement. What are you waiting for?! ”

Israel has extinguished humanitarian aid and supplies entering the coastal enclave at the beginning of March, triggering a humanitarian crisis which, according to UN officials, has been the worst since the start of the war. The assault renewed by Israel against Gaza has moved more than 500,000 Palestinians in less than a month, according to the United Nations Bureau for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. The Gaza Palestinian Ministry of Health said that attacks on Gaza have killed nearly 1,700 Palestinians since March 18.
Israel argued that the humanitarian blockade has put pressure on Hamas to accept a ceasefire. On Wednesday, the Minister of Defense Israel Katz said: “The pressure on Hamas to conclude the agreement is heavy and the tension between it and the local population increases.”
But this pressure failed to force Hamas to accept the last proposal.
The United Nations issued a disastrous warning as to the rapid deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Gaza, saying that rescue supplies approached “total depletion” due to the Bloc of Israel.
More than 2 million people remain trapped in the besieged enclave, mental health needs, cutting-edge critical infrastructures and essential services on the verge of collapse, Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN Secretary General, told a press briefing.
Dujarric said that almost 90% of water infrastructure – including wells, pumping stations and sewer factories – had been destroyed or damaged by hostilities, exacerbating the risk of illness and forcing families to count on dangerous sources.
“Stress levels, especially in children, increases while violence and deprivation persist,” said Dujarric, stressing that Israel, as a occupying power, has legal obligations under international law to guarantee access to food, medical care and public health services. The UN reiterated requests for urgent humanitarian access, warning who delayed the risk of mass avowing death.
Israel launched his war against Hamas in Gaza in October 2023, following the surprise attack of the militant group against southern Israel which killed 1,200 people and saw 251 hostages, according to Israeli authorities.
More than 51,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since then, according to the Ministry of Health in the enclave.
