Hallmark Chiefs Movie to Feature Andy Reid, Players

GATHERING INFORMATION ON THIS PLAN. RIGHT NOW, CHRISTMAS IS COMING EARLY IN INDEPENDENCE CITY. HALLMARK’S LATEST CREATION, HOLIDAY TOUCHDOWN, WILL BE FILMED HERE. THIS WEEKEND, AS TERISA WHITE OF KMBC NINE DISCOVERED, THERE’S A LOT OF MISCONCEPTIONS. WELL, THIS MOVIE IS SO SECRET THAT EVERYONE HAS HAD TO SIGN DISCLAIMER AGREEMENTS, AND THAT INCLUDES THE ACTORS, THE EXTRA PARTS, EVEN THE RESTAURANT OWNERS. BUT WE’RE GATHERING SOME DETAILS FROM INDEPENDENCE CITY WHERE THIS MOVIE IS BEING FILMED. EVEN THE PEOPLE INVOLVED CAN’T REVEAL THE BACKGROUND. WE MET WITH JEFF ROGERS, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE INDEPENDENCE SQUARE ASSOCIATION. HE SAYS IT’S AN OPPORTUNITY TO DRIVE ECONOMIC GROWTH IN THE AREA. IT’S OBVIOUSLY GOING TO BE EXTREMELY EXCITING, BUT IT’S ALSO HAVING A SIGNIFICANT ECONOMIC IMPACT. WE NOTICED A FEW WEEKS BEFORE THE SHOOT WERE ALREADY SEEING THESE IMPACTS WHEN ADVANCED CREW WERE COMING IN, WHEN THEY WERE FILLING THE CAFES AND, YOU KNOW, THE RESTAURANTS, IT’S HAVING A SIGNIFICANT ECONOMIC IMPACT. AND THE RESTAURANTS ARE BENEFITING FROM IT. TWO OWNERS OF OPHELIA SAID SHE WAS CREATING SPACES FOR CUSTOMERS TO COME AND WATCH THE FILMING LIVE. IT’S JUST FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED, REALLY. YOU KNOW, WE HAVE THE EIGHT ROOMS UPSTAIRS AND THE TABLES IN THE RESTAURANT ON SATURDAY, WE DID PART OF THE FILMING HERE AND UPSTAIR, OUR OTHER RESTAURANT HAD WINDOWS THAT WERE LIKE PERFECT. SO THEY COULD SEE EVERYTHING AND THEY WERE HAVING A GREAT TIME IN THE AIR CONDITIONING AND IN THE SQUARE. YOU WILL SEE PEOPLE POSING FROM TIME TO TIME TO TAKE PHOTOS IN FRONT OF THE HOLIDAY DECORATIONS, BRINGING THE TRUE CHARM OF CHRISTMAS INTO THE HEAT OF SUMMER. NOW IF YOU WANT TO BE AN ALTERNATE, UNFORTUNATELY THEY ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS, BUT BE AWARE THAT THEY ARE FILMING THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF JULY. REPORTING ON THE INDEPENDENCE DEREK WHITE CAN BE SEEN ON THE NEWS THERE ARE NO SPECIFIC TIMES PROVIDED, BUT
