Halle Berry can finally wear what she wants at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
The 58 -year -old actress arrived on Monday for the gala evening in the universe of Chopard wearing a breathtaking brown dress by Gurav Gupta that she had to give up, thanks to the new rules of the festival dress code.
The strapless bodice has plunged into an elaborate and long floor skirt and a long train – which are now prohibited (with “nudity”), according to the charter of the event.
Berry completed his set with matching pointed pumps and long earrings.
The winner of the Oscars styled her hair in a wavy and bulky bob, and she modeled classic makeup.
She directed the arrivals of red celebrities to the gala of the jewelry brand, and all the eyes were on her.
As the page Six Six previously reported it, Berry – who is a member of the festival jury this year – was forced to change his outfit before the annual event after its organizers published a new dress code: more nudity (“for reasons of decency”), and no “bulky outfits, in particular those with a large train”.
The star of “Catwoman” said at a press conference last week: “I had an incredible dress from (Gaurav) Gupta to wear tonight, and I can’t wear it because the train is too big.”
Although she “had to do a pivot”, she recognized that the prohibition of nudity is “probably also a good rule”.
Berry was spotted on the red carpet of the opening ceremony in a Dramatic Jacquemus dress (but resolutely not voluminous). The look included a Licou neckline and bold black and white stripes, as well as a playful pink steering wheel on the back.
It seems that she has circumvented the rules by bringing the superb brown creation to an event that is not part of the first of the official red carpets of the Cannes Festival.
Despite his praise for the “part of nudity” of the directives, the star of “Monster’s Ball” was one of the most daring at the Met Gala earlier this month.
She turned heads in a striped and glitter dress by LAQUAN SMITH which showed sections of such large skins, she was on the verge of a dysfunction of the wardrobe.
But as a source recently said it on page Six, “Halle walks to the rhythm of its own drum” and “has this age and this stage of life beautifully”.
