Hailey’s Abilities, the First Descendant, Revealed by Nexon and Already Appreciated by Fans

The First Descendant is a great experience that has become extremely popular. While it features fun gameplay and the developers are constantly supporting the game with regular updates, most of the popularity comes from the characters. TFD’s new character for Season 1 has been revealed, and Nexon has revealed Hailey’s abilities, with The First Descendant fans already head over heels in love.

Nexon has confirmed that TFD Season 1 will release on August 29. A teaser trailer was shared, but a full trailer is expected to be at Gamescom 2024. Nexon’s 2024 roadmap reveals that Season 1 will also introduce a new Ultimate following the popular Valby that was released in late July.

While a new Ultimate is exciting, fans of The First Descendant are fully prepared to buy Hailey on day one of her release.

Hailey’s Abilities, the First Descendant

Nexon has revealed Hailey’s abilities in The First Descendant. According to the developer, Hailey has “super-cooling ark abilities that allow her to lower her body temperature to extreme levels and fire ark clusters instead of bullets.”

The only other detail we know about the TFD Season 1 heroine is that she wields a pretty massive sniper rifle. According to her caption, she “left the sniper squad she loved so much and officially became a Descendant. But even as a Descendant, Hailey vowed to keep the legend alive, always reciting the operational mantra of the 33rd Sniper Squad.”

Since her reveal, fans have been incredibly impressed and delighted. Some have compared her to Widowmaker from Overwatch, while others have compared her to Quiet from Metal Gear Solid 5, and perhaps most fitting of all, Sniper Wolf from MGS1.

In response to “Hailey with the BFG” on Reddit, fans are already head over heels in love with the future sniper. While there are plenty of lustful comments that can’t be repeated here, the general consensus is that fans are willing to pay any price to get her on day one.

Fans are also looking forward to the prospect of skins upon release and in the future, and beyond her appearance, fans are excited about her abilities. More information about her kit is expected to be revealed at launch or closer to launch, but for now, she looks unique and fun with her sniper skills and cold theme.
