Fort Worth – The Gymnastics team LSU N ° 1 completed its 2025 season in the evening session of the semi-finals of the NCAA 2025 championship after finishing third with a team score of 197,5250 Thursday evening in Dickies Arena.

The first year phenomenon, Kailin Chio, finished a sensational first year campaign by affirming the title champion of the NCAA 2025 with its 9,9750 score, the 19th individual national championship won by a tiger and eighth in Vault.
The tigers opened at night on the beam, with the first year of the lead Lexi Zeiss catching a 9.9000 to start things. Junior Ashley Cowan scored a 9.8125 in the second place, followed by a 9,8250 of the Kailin Chio recruit in third row. Before the final rotation of the night, the margins were narrow, with 148,1500 from LSU ranking them second behind the UCLA (148,1875) and in front of UTAH (148.1125) and Michigan State (148,0000).
LSU concluded the evening on the safe, with Kj Johnson Senior opening the rotation with a 9.8375. Zeiss scored a 9.8000 in place two before Finnegan posted a score of 9,8500 at the third point, then a 9,8125 of Drayton after her. The fifth place saw Chio execute an almost perfect and a half yurchenko which marked a 9.9750 and was followed by a 9.9000 of Bruy in anchoring position to bring the final score of LSU of the night to a final of 49.3750, which was not enough to bring the tigers to the end of the top two to move forward on Saturday.
Individually, the 9.9750 of Chio was alone at the top of the jump competition and meant that it won the title of safe NCAA 2025. The victory marked the first safe title won by a tiger since 2021, when the recruit Haleigh Bryant won the crown. Chio joined Elite Company when she became the third first -year student in the history of the program to win a national individual championship with Bryant and Kennedi Edney (2017).
The tiger score finished fourth during the two sessions of semi-final on Thursday. Finnegan and Bryant finished among the 10 best artists of the day. Bryant finished fifth in jump and tenth on the ground while Finnegan finished fifth on the ground.
Chio ended equally with Bryant in sixth in the complete competition during his first national appearance in the first year.
