Guantanamo camp: a Tunisian detainee transferred from this prison that Joe Biden wanted to close

The US Department of Defense announced that a Tunisian detainee has been repatriated to his country of origin after spending more than 20 years in Guantanamo without ever being charged. Ridah Ben Saleh al-Yazidi was transferred to the detention camp in Cuba as soon as it opened in 2002. While Joe Biden hoped to succeed in closing it under his mandate, 26 people are still imprisoned there.
