Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced on Wednesday that the government would spend around 25 billion euros ($ 27 billion) for its soldiers until 2036.

Mitsotakis called it the “transformation” the “most radical defense” “in the modern history of Greece. Some of the new equipment will include anti -aircraft defense, drones and satellites.
“The world is changing at an unpredictable rate,” he said.
The announcement came in the middle of American pressure so that NATO allies to spend more in defense, and part of a push to modernize the infrastructure and obsolete equipment that languished under the country’s 2008-2017 financial crisis.
