In mid-August, Georgia State Senator Colton Moore (right) announced an initiative to open an emergency session to investigate Willis, as Breitbart News exclusively reported.
“As a senator from the state of Georgia, I formally request an emergency session to review the actions of Fani Willis,” Moore said. “America is under attack. I will not sit idly by and watch radical left prosecutors use their elected office as a weapon to politically target their opponents.”
Trump praised Moore when he announced his intention to investigate Willis.
“The highly respected Georgia State Senator, Colton Moore, deserves everyone’s thanks and congratulations for having the courage and conviction to fight the radical left crazies who are so seriously harming the great State of Georgia and the United States itself,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
However, Kemp rejected Moore’s calls for an inquiry, arguing that a special session “would ignore current Georgia law and directly interfere with the proceedings of a separate but equal branch of government.”

Kemp continued:
Now, my concerns about the Fulton County prosecutor’s handling of this case before the special grand jury have been well documented. We are now seeing what happens when prosecutors launch highly charged indictments and trials in the middle of an election. Simply put, it sows mistrust and offers easy choices for those who view prosecutorial action as politically driven.
But let me be clear. We have a law in the state of Georgia that clearly outlines legal action that can be taken if voters believe their local attorneys are violating their oath by engaging in unethical or illegal behavior. So far, I have seen no evidence that DA Willis’ actions, or lack thereof, warrant action by the prosecutor’s oversight board.
“The bottom line is that in the state of Georgia, as long as I serve as governor, we will abide by the law contained in the Constitution, regardless of who it helps or hurts politically,” Kemp concluded. “And in Georgia, we will not engage in political theater that only inflames the emotions of the moment. »
After Kemp’s remarks, Moore encouraged the Georgia governor to “take a deep breath.” [sic] and read the Georgian Constitution.

“Governor Brian Kemp is not honest with the people of Georgia. He lets his contempt for President Trump cloud his judgement,” Moore said. said in a report. “Specifically, Article 2, paragraph 7… which outlines his clear power to call an emergency session.”
“As the corrupt Fulton County District Attorney continues to target Donald Trump…I have only one question for the Governor: When are you going to stand with the people of Georgia and call the emergency session that your voters? Moore concluded.
