The Android 16 beta program should be almost complete with QPR2 Beta 3 for Google Pixel devices now available.

Quarterly platform releases bring bigger changes than monthly bug fixes, with Android 16 QPR2 shaping up to be a significant patch.
Historically, QPRs have been relatively stable and are released as beta versions rather than developer previews. Google officially states that they are “suitable for general use”, with Android 16 QPR2 scheduled to launch in December.
For developers, this is the second stability version of the platform with the final behaviors for applications.
There are many fixes in Android 16 QPR2 Beta 3:

- Battery charged to 100% when adaptive charging is enabled (Issue #445583926)
- The swipe up from bottom gesture sometimes stopped working. (Number no. 436632152, number no. 445023211)
- The theme you selected might not apply on the first attempt. (Number no. 440830741)

- Poor battery life due to excessive CPU usage by the launcher, especially on foldable devices. (Number no. 441741448)

- The Terminal app would crash if you changed the font size of your device’s UI while it was open. (Number no. 412082408)
- Users could not enter special characters such as

The Android Beta Feedback app is available on Pixel devices for submitting issues. You can access it from the app drawer or through quick settings to report bugs in Google’s issue tracker, while the Android Beta community is on Reddit.
Android 16 QPR2 Beta 3 (BP41.250916.009) with the October Security Patch 2025 is available for Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel 9a, Pixel 10, Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, as well as the Android emulator.
Most people will install through the Android beta program, but you can also flash or sideload.
