Google famous 10 years of Google photos with the launch of a redesigned publisher. The overhaul adds new AI – Reimagine and Auto Frame – which were previously only available on Pixel devices, bringing the tools in the hands of more users.
The reimagine function uses a generative AI to transform objects and backgrounds into photos with text prompts. For example, you can ask to replace a dark sky in one of your photos with a “light blue sky”.
The automatic frame function suggests different ways to frame a photo, whether by reframing, widening or using a generative AI to fill empty spaces.

Google says that the new publisher gives users useful suggestions and puts all its publishing tools in one place. You can use suggestions fueled by AI that combine several effects for quick changes with the new “AI Enhance” option. For example, you can combine AI effects such as the clarity of image and the elimination of objects.
Or, you can press specific parts of a photo to obtain suggested tools to modify this area. For example, Google can suggest adjust the lighting or blur the background.
Google notes that the overhaul will start to deploy global on Android devices next month, with iOS later this year.
The technology giant has also announced that you can now share albums with QR codes to facilitate others around you to access an album. You can also print the codes of a group event, where anyone with the code can display and add photos to the album.
