According to a report from 404 Media, Nintendo was previously hit by a leak of information obtained by a Google employee who accessed private YouTube videos. Google conducted an internal review and deemed the activity “unintentional.”

404 Media says it’s article is based on “a copy of an internal Google database that tracks potential privacy and security issues for six years.” The thousands of incidents were actually reported by company employees. The database also covers a ton of other incidents, from accidentally collecting children’s voice data to Google Street View transcribing and storing license plate numbers from photos.

As for Nintendo’s leaks, it’s unclear which announcements were impacted. The database report is based on incidents that occurred between 2013 and 2018.

At least lately, a lot of Nintendo rumors have been related to Pyoro – a leaker who basically has a perfect track record and tends to provide information about the content of Nintendo Directs before they are broadcast (and more). However, despite speculation, the information shared by Pyoro Apparently this doesn’t come from YouTube.
