Good Morning Football’s Jamie Erdahl details scary situation with baby’s birth

NFL Network personality Jamie Erdahl recalled breaking down in “petrified tears” when a scary situation arose while she was giving birth to her daughter, Nora James, in New Jersey on April 30. March.

Taking to social media on Monday, Erdahl – who is co-host of “Good Morning Football” – explained that she underwent an emergency C-section due to a prolapsed umbilical cord around Nora’s neck.

“For me who thought everything was fine until it wasn’t,” Erdahl began on Instagram, where she shared photos from the hospital with husband Sam Buckman and newborn Nora.

“To my husband who welcomed my petrified tears with calm and strength despite his own terror. To my nurse and her ability to identify a problem that allowed our healthy baby girl to be discharged 6 minutes later.

Nora was born “beautiful and healthy,” Erdahl said, adding that her family is now complete.

Erdahl, who shares three daughters with Buckman, her husband of nearly six years, later thanked her medical team and family for keeping her calm during a difficult situation.

“To my doctor who rode on the bed with me to the operating room and his powerful voice announcing a bad situation,” she wrote. “To my anesthesiologist who pleaded one last time for me not to be completely sedated. To my mother who never let her fear carry over to our little girls at home that there might be a problem. To my sister who had booked a plane ticket before knowing the outcome of my emergency C-section. To sweet baby Nora James who cried a big healthy cry just when she could to tell me she was okay,” Erdahl continued.

“To my body… Thank you. We did it. It was hard. My family is complete. Break.”

In response to his Monday post, Erdahl received numerous well wishes from the NFL community.

“Good job mom,” wrote Charissa Thompson of Fox Sports and Amazon.

Erdahl announced her pregnancy on the Halloween episode of “GMFB” last October, when she wore a red jumpsuit imitating Rihanna to the 2023 Super Bowl, when the music superstar sparked pregnancy buzz in mid -time, which was later confirmed.

Erdahl, who replaced former “GMFB” host Kay Adams (now at FanDuel TV), will move from New York to Los Angeles, where filming on the show will begin later this year.

There is no premiere date yet.
