Freshly out of his victory at the Valero Open, Golfer Brian Harman revealed that Cathy Dowdy, the family friend who helped save her 6 -year -old son Walter, from Netwing entered palliative care last Friday.
This is Harman’s first real update on Dowdy since the original tearing incident took place several months ago.
Harman said the original incident had come during a family vacation where his wife, Kelly Van Slyke, and their three children were in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The couple are also 8 -year -old girls, Cooper and Jack, 2.
Harman himself was not in Florida for the trip, because he was in competition on an Asian tour in China.
Walter was the bodyboard on October 13 when it was fired in a strong tear current. Dowdy, from Brunswick, in Georgia, tried to save Walter when entering the ocean but she could not join him while she was fighting against the strong current.
Another man by the name of Crane Cantrell saw the nightmare incident unfold and went to help, succeeding in saving the average child of the Harmans.

However, Dowdy was seriously injured. A rescuer withdrew Dowdy from water and administered the RCR until the first stakeholders arrived, according to the citizen of St. Johns. She was in a coma for an unveiled period, which was at least six weeks.
