If a 109-94 109-94 defeat against Houston’s Rockets in Match 2 was not sufficient to manage, the Golden State Warriors also sweat on the health of Jimmy Butler.
The former star of Miami Heat, who has helped to transform the fortune of Golden State since his beginnings in February, fell hard on his coccil at the end of the first quarter after being the victim of a fault by Amen Thompson.
Butler got up and made one of the two free throws but clearly had trouble walking. He quickly made his way down in the locker room while holding his lower back zone and was excluded for the rest of the game with a pool contusion.
The Warriors said Butler would undergo an MRI on Thursday.
Losing Butler for a period of time during the playoffs would be a hard blow for Golden State. After fighting for consistency during the regular season, Golden State finished the campaign on a race of 23-8 after the beginnings of Butler to participate in the playoffs as one of the most popular teams of the NBA.
Butler achieved a vintage “Jimmy” performance to help the Warriors win match 1, recording 25 points, seven rebounds, six assists and five interceptions.
“I hope Jimmy can play,” said Warriors head coach Steve Kerr about Butler’s availability for match 3 on Saturday, according to the Associated Press. “But if not, we have to go through our options and develop a plan.”
The Warriors were also without Brandin Podziemski for much of the game while the goalkeeper was fighting with a stomach disease.
For the Rockets, Jalen Green rebounded from his first flow in the playoff series in match 1 with a huge performance to lead his team to equalize the series of seven best.
The Houston goalkeeper admitted that “the lights were brilliant” and his legs were a “small tremor” after having managed only seven points when the series is opened.

On Wednesday, however, Green succeeded 38 points, four rebounds, six assists and three interceptions. He made eight three points, two more than the whole Rockets team managed in match 1.
“I feel like I’ve done a good job to answer,” said Green. “From the start, my whole state of mind today was to enter and be aggressive and start to be myself.”
Alperen şengün added 17 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists and two interceptions for rockets.
Steph Curry had 20 points for the Warriors exceeded 4,000 career points in the playoff series, which makes him the 11th player in history to reach the benchmark.
The two teams will then compete in match 3 in the Bay region on Saturday.
