Goa TMC Vice President Kishore Narvekar quits the party


In the recent state assembly elections, the BJP emerged as the largest party in Goa, winning 20 seats in the 40-member state assembly and decimating the Congress by 11 seats.

Panjim: Goa Trinamool Congress Deputy Speaker Kishore Narvekar on Tuesday resigned from his post along with party members.

“For personal reasons, I hereby tender my resignation from the post of Vice President as Senior Congressman of Goa Trinamool with immediate effect,” Narvekar wrote in the letter to the President of Goa TMC.

In the recent assembly elections held in the state, the BJP emerged as the largest party in Goa, winning 20 seats in the 40-member state assembly and decimating the Congress by 11 seats.

Independent candidates won three seats while two seats each went to the Aam Aadmi Party and the MGP. Revolutionary Goans Party and Goa Forward Party won one seat each.
