GMR Airports Fourth Quarter Results | Net loss narrows to ₹168 crore, revenue up 30% to ₹2,447 crore

GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd on Wednesday (May 29) reported a net loss of ₹167.6 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024. In the corresponding quarter, GMR Airports Infrastructure recorded a net loss of ₹638.9 crore, a the company said in a regulatory filing.

The company’s operating revenue increased 29.5 per cent to ₹2,446.8 crore as compared to ₹1,889.7 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. At the operational level, EBITDA stood at ₹816 crore in the fourth quarter of this fiscal, compared to ₹254 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

EBITDA margin stood at 33.4% during the reported quarter compared to 13.5% in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. EBITDA is earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.

Delhi Airport

In Q4FY24, Delhi Airport witnessed an increase in passenger traffic, reaching 19.2 million passengers, an increase of 8.2% from 17.7 million in Q4FY24. This growth was driven by a substantial 22.6% increase in international passenger traffic, while domestic traffic saw a more modest growth of 3.5% year-on-year.

For the entire financial year 2024, Delhi Airport handled 74 million passengers, an increase of 12.8% from the previous year.

Hyderabad Airport

For Q4FY24, Hyderabad Airport saw an increase in passenger traffic, totaling 6.5 million passengers, an increase of 13.5% from 5.7 million in Q4 of FY23. This growth was driven by a 12.7% increase in domestic passenger traffic and an impressive 17.4% increase in international passenger traffic year-on-year.

For the entire financial year 2024, Hyderabad Airport handled 25 million passengers, representing a sharp increase of 19.3% from the previous year.

The results came after the close of market hours. Shares of GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd ended at ₹87.00, down ₹0.41 or 0.47 per cent on the BSE.
