Gisele Bundchen’s joke about roasting Tom Brady came from Drew Bledsoe’s wife, ex-QB reveals as he reacts to ‘mean’ comments during Netflix special

Drew Bledsoe ripped Tom Brady with a brutal joke about the end of his marriage to Gisele Bundchen during Sunday’s Netflix roast of his former Patriots teammate.

But the morning after delivering the gag in front of a stunned audience in California, the former quarterback admitted it wasn’t his own work.

Brady was roasted by a number of high-profile figures — including stand-up comedians, celebrities and former teammates like Bledsoe — during a live Netflix special on Sunday night.

Legendary former Patriots coach Bill Belichick also took to the podium to attack his former Super Bowl-winning quarterback, who he brought to the team at Bledsoe’s expense in 2001.

The latter pulled no punches when called upon to take a shot at Brady, with his most ruthless feature being a dig at the end of his 13-year marriage to model Gisele.

Bledsoe joked that Brady hadn’t been “touched” in his NFL career before referencing his marriage to Bundchen

The legendary quarterback raised his eyebrows and took two sips of different drinks.

“Obviously buddy, you really got used to not getting hit,” Bledsoe said, referring to Brady’s football career.

He then added, “Just like the end of marriage.”

The joke elicited a huge gasp from the Kia Forum audience as an awkward Brady raised his eyebrows and took two sips of different drinks.

However, the day after the roast, Bledsoe admitted that it was his wife who invented it.

“I’m going to get in really, really big trouble for this, but I’m willing to carry it,” he said. the Dan Le Batard show with Stugotz. “The joke about Gisèle… which actually came from my wife. Don’t tell her I told you.

“But the truth is it was to replace a joke I had written that was much worse, and she said ‘no, you can’t do that one’. And so she helped me write something a little more like softball.

Asked about the first joke he wrote himself, Bledsoe replied, “No, we’re not going there!” She told me I couldn’t say it.

Bledsoe was also the subject of a roast on the night, with comedian Sam Jay mocking his one and only Super Bowl triumph.

“The only ring you have is the one Tom won for you,” Jay said. “So your Super Bowl ring is like my strap. Just because you wear it doesn’t make it real.

‘She’s so mean!’ Bledsoe spoke about the reprimand. “My feelings were hurt.”

Bundchen is reportedly less than impressed with her divorce from Brady and subsequent new relationship with jiu jitsu coach Joaquim Valente, used as the butt of jokes.

The model was referenced several times during Sunday’s Netflix special.

A shocking joke saw comedian Nikki Glaser refer to Valente’s martial arts prowess, saying: ‘How much would that suck for Tom…gosh, just knowing that your ex-wife’s new boyfriend could beat you by eating his.”

Tom and Gisele – who share two children together, son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 10 – divorced on October 28, 2022, after 13 years of marriage.

Others who roasted the NFL legend on Sunday were host Kevin Hart, Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Randy Moss and Kim Kardashian.
