Flowers and chocolates on Valentine’s Day are good – but sometimes you want to go bigger.

However, the bigger is not always better.

And NPR wants to hear about a big gesture, a gift or a surprise from Valentine’s Day which did not take place as you had planned.

You may have bought an incredible gift.

Maybe you have planned a romantic getaway.

You may have written a sincere song or a deep and prophetic poem.

You may have declared your love on a display panel.

You can tell us about your Valentine’s Day failure in the form below.

Your answers could be used in the air or online.

Please submit your story to us before Wednesday February 12.
