Giants fans aren’t in a forgiving mood following the Rush 3, Drop 8 firestorm engulfing defensive coordinator Shane Bowen… but with the Eagles next door, his players are defending him with more urgency than they defended Bo Nix at the end of their epic collapse in Denver:

Blame us. Not him.

“That call was perfect for that situation,” Brian Burns said Wednesday.

Burns was captured on voice video and beyond frustrated by Rush 3, Drop 8 as he trudged toward the visitors’ locker room… Bowen choosing not to pressure Nix was not the source of his agitation. On Tuesday morning, he tweeted: “People took this tunnel video out of context. I wasn’t mad at Shane or the call.”
