Nets vs. Knicks picks
New York’s two NBA teams face each other for the final time this season when the New York Knicks host the Brooklyn Nets tonight.
FanDuel Sportsbook favors the Knicks by 11.5 points. Even though New York played last night, he should still be able to handle a short-handed Brooklyn team.
The Knicks have won four of their last five games and have a real chance to become the second seed in the Eastern Conference, as they trail the Milwaukee Bucks by just one game. They should be fully motivated to win tonight and they should have fairly fresh legs as their starters rested late in their blowout win over the Celtics last night.
Jalen Brunson is having a wonderful season averaging 28.6 points per game and has a good supporting cast to help him out. And while Brunson can generate star power, New York’s second-best defense in terms of points allowed has been the bedrock of this team. Unsurprisingly, the Knicks are 3-0 against the Nets this season, with two double-digit wins.
Brooklyn has some solid players, but this just isn’t their year. Cam Thomas became the team’s leading scorer, notably in April, where Mikal Bridges only scored 13.6 points per game during the month. It also appears the Nets won’t have Cameron Johnson or Day’Ron Sharpe available tonight, and Dennis Schroder is listed as questionable.
