Get ready with Hannah Dodd for the premiere of ‘Bridgerton’s S3’

For actress Hannah Dodd, deciding what to wear to the world premiere of The Bridgerton Chronicles season 3 created an opportunity for life to imitate art. Although Dodd has appeared on the series before, this season marks the first time fans will really, truly get to know Francesca Bridgerton, who is entering Ton’s marriage market into London’s high society for the first time. Despite the nerves, when it came to finding the perfect outfit for the premiere, Dodd took inspiration from the show to guide her choice.

“We really wanted to give a little nod to The Bridgerton Chronicles and Francesca,” she says. “We opted for a custom Ellie Misner dress, which I can’t wait to wear, in a few days. The Bridgerton Chronicles blue colors, and we also have a small corset. I feel like it’s a hybrid of modernity and a nod to the times.”

To ensure the look was worthy of a title Lady Whistledown would write herself, Dodd tapped stylist Dani Kleinman, makeup artist Shayna Gold and hairstylist Takuya Yamaguchi to form her glam team. “I feel like maybe a modern-day Francesca would wear what I’m wearing. Although taking on a new role can be intimidating, everyone at The Bridgerton Chronicles— from executive producer Shonda Rhimes to season 3 hottie Luke Newton — agrees that Dodd fits in perfectly. “It’s really wonderful to welcome Hannah and Francesca,” Rhimes says. “We’ve only seen tiny bits of Francesca in seasons past, and this season she comes back from a trip and she’s ready to get married, and you really find out who Fran is. Fran has always been the sister invisible, and now it is coming to the forefront in many ways for us to know it.”

Newton agrees. “It’s been incredible to welcome Hannah to the The Bridgerton Chronicles family. We’re so close as a unit (and) it’s always going to be, I imagine, a big deal to join this process,” he said. “I imagine it was probably quite intimidating for Hannah, but she’s coming to integrate into the process. role so well. “She wore Aquazzura shoes and jewelry from sustainable brand Matilde to complete the look,” says Kleinman. “Her rings and earrings featured lab-grown diamonds and 100% recycled gold.”

“Using Chanel Beauty, we wanted to strike a balance between a graphic liner and a classic, smoldering eye look to contrast with the soft satin undertones of her dress,” says Gold. “Where we landed was a diffused liner with a pointed wing and some shadows underneath, keeping the look timeless.”

Hair details

“Using Oribe Nourishing Oil, I first blew out her hair, did a middle part, and used a one-inch hair iron to create loose curls,” says Yamaguchi. “Finally, I completed the look by tying it in a low ponytail and added a few loose pieces along Hannah’s face line.
