The legend of Barcelona, Gerard Pique, was quick to react after seeing the Catalan giants crowned La Liga on Thursday evening.
The style of Hansi Flick beat Espanyol 2-0 at the RCDE stadium to seal first place thanks to the goals of Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez.
“What a pleasure” – Pique quickly posted on social networks after seeing his beloved Barca win the title at the home of their local rivals.
The victory means that Barcelona made a double of the league and the cup this season during the first complete campaign of Flick in charge and also harvested the Spanish Super Cup.
A hard game was won in the second half when Yamal scored an absolute Golazo to do so 1-0.
Yamal was then involved again when Leandro Cabrera was sent for intentionally struck the teenager late.
Yet it was Fermin Lopez who had the last word. The substitute was put in order by Yamal and pulled before Joan Garcia to seal the title.
