The creative father-daughter duo George Lopez and Mayan Lopez, who co-created and played in NBC cancer Lopez vs. Lopezreacted at the end of the semi-autobiographical sitcom, in mourning of the loss and promising that he marks the “first show” of many others to come.

She added in the legend: “So grateful to have created a show from a Tik Tok which was a network for three years … Thank you NBC and my casting and my team, but right now, it’s time for Tequila and Tears … A dream is and now it’s next.” (The show sparked a video that Mayan Lopez published in a treatment center, discussing his reconnection with his father after years of distance.)
