General Hospital Stars Pay Tribute to Johnny Wactor After His Tragic Death

After the 37-year-old actor, who played Brando Corbin in General Hospital from 2020 to 2022, was fatally shot in downtown Los Angeles on May 25, his former colleagues honored his memory.

“I am in a state of complete disbelief and sadness,” the actress said Kirsten Stormswho plays Maxie Jones in the soap opera, wrote on Instagram on May 26. “I don’t usually post messages like this, but Johnny was such a special person and it feels important (to me) to post these words.”

“To @johnnywactor’s mother and family, I’m so sorry for your loss,” the Disney Chanel alum continued. “I can’t imagine how you must feel right now. You are in my thoughts and prayers.”

Kirsten then shared her bond with her late friend.

“Johnny was one of those rare ‘real people’ that you almost never meet,” said the Zeno star rated. “I was lucky enough to have some really good conversations with him, where we talked about things I don’t usually talk about. For some reason, we talked about deep things. He was a safe space for these conversations and, in return, he talked about his life.
