An agent of Hamas responsible for the collection of fundraising for the military wing of the terrorist group was killed on an Israeli air strike last week, the Israeli defense forces and Shin Bet announced Thursday, while the soldiers struck the Gaza band with strikes which, according to him, have reached many terrorist targets.
The Palestinian media reported that the bombing had killed at least 115 Palestinians, citing medical sources. The figures could not be checked independently and did not differentiate themselves between civilians and the combatants.
The FDI said it had reached more than 130 terrorist targets in the band in the last 48 hours. The targets included rocket launchers, agent cells and buildings used by terrorist groups to plan attacks against the forces, the army said.
The ground troops also killed several agents and destroyed Hamas’ infrastructure in the north and southern Gaza, added the FDI.
According to the army, the collection of funds Jasser Hussein Ali Shamieh “was responsible for the transfer of tens of millions of dollars to the military wing of Hamas”.
“These funds were used to strengthen the military wing force, pay the terrorist salaries of Hamas and finance the terrorist organization,” said the FDI, adding that the money “also allowed the continuing the fighting and the sustainability of the Hamas brigades in the north of Gaza”.
Shamieh himself was previously a battalion commander in the Gaza City brigade in Hamas, the army said.
In recent days, the FDIs have prepared for a major offensive planned in the Gaza Strip, which, according to officials, would be launched if no hostage agreement is concluded with Hamas at the end of the visit of US President Donald Trump in the region on Friday.
Hamas said in a statement that Israel made a “desperate attempt to negotiate under the coverage of fires” while indirect cease-fire talks continue by Trump and Egyptian mediators in Doha, Reuters reported.

Amir Selha, a 43 -year -old Palestinian from North Gaza, told AFP on Thursday morning that he had heard “intense Israeli bombings overnight”.
“The reservoir shells are struck 24 hours a day, and the area is filled with people and tents,” he said.
He added that early in the morning, the Israeli army drones dropped leaflets in his neighborhood, warning the residents to move south.
Most gasians were moved at least once for 19 months of war between Israel and Hamas.
Israel made the latest strikes of the Palestinian day commemorate the “Nakba” or the disaster, the Arab term used for the exodus and the expulsion of some 700,000 Palestinians during the War of Independence of Israel against the invader of the Arab armies in 1948.
With most of the 2.3 million people in Gaza inner Gaza, some residents of the tiny lightning say that suffering is higher than that.
“What we are living now is even worse than the 1948 Nakba,” a Palestinian from Gaza City told Reuters who has been moved several times.
“The truth is that we live in a constant state of violence and displacement. Wherever we go, we are faced with attacks. Death surrounds us everywhere. “
The war in Gaza began with the assault of Hamas on October 7, 2023, when thousands of terrorists led by Hamas storm southern Israel to kill some 1,200 people and take 251 hostages.

Palestinian health officials told Reuters that Israeli attacks increased since Trump started his visit on Tuesday in the States of the Saudi Arabian, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, which many Palestinians had hoped that he would use to push for a truce.
The latest strikes follow the attacks on Gaza on Wednesday which killed at least 80 people, said Hamas health officials.
The FDI carried out a massive air session on Tuesday targeting an underground command complex under the European hospital where the head of Hamas in Gaza, Muhammad Sinwar, was supposed to be sheltered. The FDI has since bombed the area several times, in an apparent attempt to prevent anyone from approaching the tunnel under the medical center. The FDI has not yet confirmed if Sinwar, the younger brother of the former Hamas chief and the terrorist brain of October 7 Yahya Sinwar, was killed in the strike.
More than 52,000 people have been killed in the strip since the start of the war, according to the unverifiable count of the Hamas Ministry of Health.
