Members of an eminent Gazan family in Deir al-Balah executed a man on Tuesday who, according to them, was an agent of Hamas responsible for the deadly shooting of one of their relatives earlier in the day.
The armed men were members of the Abu Samra clan of Central Gaza. They said they had killed the member of Hamas after shooting their Abdulrahman Sha’aban Abu Samra Abdulrahman when he was waiting for the flour at Deir al-Balah.
Family members said that they had managed to find Hamas Operation responsible and brought him to the entrance to Deir al-Balah where several parents opened fire.
Images of execution have been widely shared on Palestinian social media and seemed to highlight the growing fury with Hamas among the civilians of Gaza.
Gaza has dozens of powerful families such as the Abu Samra family, which work as well -organized clans. Many have no formal links with Hamas. They draw their power to control companies and command the loyalty of hundreds or thousands of parents. Each family has a leader, known as Mukhtar or Chieftain.
Some of the greatest Gaza clans would be well armed and have a long history of competing in rival interests, as well as with Hamas.

Last spring, a conflict occurred between Hamas and the Doghmush clan, a powerful family of Gaza City, due to disputes over the distribution of aid and reports that the family was contacted by Israel for a possible role in the post-war government, an idea that Jerusalem floated at the time.
Hamas would have killed the chief of the clan, with information on the Arab media saying that it had been “executed” in a family complex with two others.

A wave of demonstrations against Hamas swept away the band last week, thousands of cumulatively participating, revealing cracks in the iron handle that the terrorist group has on the band.
Participants were threatened by Hamas and other Gaza terrorist groups, who warned that they would be treated as collaborators with Israel.
An official of Hamas commented on the wave of demonstrations last week after a few days of silence of the group, but insisted that the demonstrations were directed against Israel and the current war rather than the terrorist group which governs the band.

The senior Hamas official Naim told Qatari al-Arabby that “demonstrations are expected of people confronted with extermination, war and destruction”.
Despite several media reports, images and videos of demonstrations, as well as media interviews with gasans on the contrary, Naim said that the rallies were distorted as criticizing the de facto regime of Hamas.
The terrorist group violently repressed the previous demonstrations. However, this time, no pure and simple intervention was obvious, which some considered a sign of his decreasing power following the military campaign of Israel.
However, during the weekend, Hamas agents kidnapped, tortured and executed a 22-year-old Palestinian who participated in last week’s demonstrations against the terrorist group, according to his family.
The body of Oday Nasser Al Rabay was left in front of the house of his family, and Saturday, many dozen was filmed participating in his funeral procession, shouting: “Hamas Out!”
