Gator attacked on tarmac at Florida Air Force base

A large alligator was subdued by animal control and transferred to a “more appropriate off-base environment” after arriving on the tarmac at MacDill Air Force Base near Tampa.

Footage from the air base shows Florida Wildlife Control officers maneuvering the fighting reptile, which is believed to be about 10 feet long.

“Our newest, toothy Airman has been transferred to a more appropriate environment off base,” the base wrote on Facebook. Photos from the base showed the alligator on the wheels of an airplane.

The base said the alligator was taken to the Hillsborough River. Credit: MacDill Air Force Base via Storyful
