Lineker, 64, will leave the emblematic BBC program at the end of the season after 26 years in the role, after having replaced the anchoring of the Lynam in 1999.
He will stay with the broadcasting giant to host the next FA Cup game campaign and will also be before their World Cup coverage in 2026 before retiring.
Three presenters – Kelly Cates, Gabby Logan and Mark Chapman – have already been announced as rotating successors from Lineker, from August.
Lineker will continue to welcome its popular podcast, the rest is football, but it has been flooded with other offers when approaching the end of its passage with the Beeb.
Several locations would have seen him host his own kitchen show – a passion for sound – but Lineker refused them, jokingly declaring that he is not “Gordon F *** Ing Ramsay”.

He will stay with the BBC next season and will continue his podcast – but the offers flood
“I would like to tell you that I am a very good cook. I’m pretty good, “he told Times.
“I have been doing it for ten years now, and I’m obsessive. So, if I do something and I realize that I am reasonably good in this area, I will throw my heart and soul into it.
“I was offered to make cooking programs, but I don’t want to, because even if I am a very lively cook and I think I’m a good cook, I’m not Gordon F *** Ing Ramsay.”
Lineker revealed in March that he had interviews with Sky many times but had snubbed them – and a larger wage package – because of his loyalty to the BBC.
Quinzé on the dominant coverage of Sky of the Premier League, Lineker admitted that he had not watched a particular segment of their programs, thinking that it is “boring”.
“They can spend 20 minutes covering a corner,” added Lineker. “It’s not for me. I light up for the match. The accumulation for matches, for me, is the most boring part.
“You can guess what’s going to happen. Let’s be five minutes old on who is not in the team. Give me the half. This is what I like in live matches. Half-time.
“We have a huge advantage (at the BBC). We have no advertisements. When I worked at BT Sport, during the Champions League if there are three goals in the first half, you have trouble showing them (because of the advertisements). You don’t have time.

Lineker is categorical, Logan and Chapman will be worthy replacements when he leaves the match of the day, but he described the work as a “massive commitment”.
Giving his verdict on the triple hiring, he told Fourfourtwo: “It is probably due to the fact that it is a massive commitment.
‘These three all have families, and if you say that someone will do it for the next ten years, your weekends have gone.
“Maybe that’s it, I don’t know. I was not involved in any of this.
“I consider him a compliment they have named three, but I suspect that it is not because of it.
“I haven’t seen them yet to talk to them, but I will do it. They will go well and they will do a great job. I have known them all for years, these are the best presenters.
