Gary Lineker has praised Cole Palmer after the Chelsea star scored a 29-minute hat-trick in Monday night’s Premier League clash against Everton.

The England international stole the show with a stunning first-half performance as he punished Everton’s defensive errors to give the Blues a commanding lead.

His three goals marked a second successive home hat-trick for Palmer who had previously scored in Chelsea’s dramatic win over Manchester United and five goals in his final 30 minutes of action at Stamford Bridge.

Palmer’s third goal was the best of the group as the 21-year-old pounced on a terrible back pass from Toffees goalkeeper Jordan Pickford before lobbing it from over 30 yards.

Praise was quick to shower on the former Man City winger who has been one of the signings of the season since swapping the Etihad for Stamford Bridge in a 42-year transfer, £5 million.

Lineker was among the pundits to applaud Palmer’s sensational performance, tweeting on his X profile: “He’s exceptionally talented, it’s Cole Palmer” alongside three clapping emojis.

The praise didn’t stop there as former Man United defender Rio Ferdinand also marveled at Palmer’s exploits against the relegation-threatened Toffees.

Palmer was in England’s final squad ahead of the upcoming European Championship in Germany and Ferdinand believes his performances have made him a key name in Gareth Southgate’s traveling squad.

Ferdinand named Palmer among England’s best, posting online: “Cole Palmer hit crazy numbers… on (the plane) for (Germany). Declan/Jude/Foden/Palmer/Saka/Kane.’

Jamie Carragher also joined in the Palmer love as he announced the rising star would be among the names in the running for the Premier League Player of the Year award.

Monday’s three goals take the Manchester native to 19 top-flight goals in 27 appearances for the Blues and move him into second place among the Premier League’s top scorers this season behind Man City’s Erling Haaland.

‘Cole Palmer was cast in YPOTY, how close is he to POTY?!!’ tweeted Carragher.

His superb tally of three goals also makes Palmer the only Chelsea player to score in seven successive Premier League matches at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea fans had little to celebrate during a difficult season for the seven-time Premier League winners, but shared their joy on social media as the Blues took control against Everton.

“It’s getting stupid now!” MR COLD PALMER”, declared a Blues supporter on X.

Another added: “Palmer is actually crazy,” while a third comment said: “Palmer is amazing.”

Palmer joined Chelsea in the summer after struggling for consistent first chances in Guardiola’s team and has shone as a fundamental part of Pochettino’s set-up.
