‘Game of Thrones’ Star Sophie Turner on Steamy Love Story: ‘Sun, Sex and Wary Parents’

The 28-year-old actress gave fans a glimpse into her summer, including a picnic she shared with the British aristocrat.
“Sun, sex and suspicious parents,” Turner captioned the series of photos. The last photo included was a shot of Turner on a picnic blanket and Pearson was tagged, which seemed to indicate that he had taken the photo.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}According to People magazine, the “Game of Thrones” star was first linked to Pearson last November. The new romance came two months after Jonas filed for divorce. Turner and Pearson were spotted kissing in Paris and later arrived at the Rugby World Cup final together.

Turner and Jonas first met in 2016 after the Jonas Brothers singer reached out to the actress via Instagram. They got engaged in 2017 and tied the knot in an impromptu wedding in Las Vegas in 2019.

{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}“After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our relationship,” the estranged couple later wrote in a joint statement. “There is much speculation as to the reasons for this decision, but it is truly a mutual decision, and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for ourselves and our children.”
Shortly after the divorce was announced, Turner sued Jonas in a New York court over custody of their two children. She claimed to have learned of the divorce filing “through the media” in court documents obtained by Fox News Digital. Turner and Jonas’ marriage ended “very suddenly” following an “argument” that occurred on the “Cake by the Ocean” singer’s 34th birthday.

Turner also accused Jonas of “unlawfully detaining” their daughters for several days. The actress said Jonas’ attorney, Thomas J. Sasser, acknowledged that the pop star would not give up the children’s passports and would not “consent to the children returning home to England.”
Turner recalls being portrayed as a bad mother in tabloids and on gossip sites, while Jonas was portrayed as a loving father to their daughters. She told British Vogue: “Those were the worst days of my life.”
“I remember I was on set, I had a contract to stay on set for another two weeks, so I couldn’t leave. My kids were in the States and I couldn’t see them because I had to finish Joan. And all these articles started coming out. It hurt because I absolutely torture myself with every single thing I do as a mother – the mother guilt is so real! I kept thinking, ‘None of this is true. You’re a good mother and you’ve never been a party girl.’”
