Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 launch date: reservations open now

After months of leaks and rumors, Samsung has officially announced a July 10 event that will serve as the launch date for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, and other new devices, and reservations are now open with savings potentially huge.

In a teaser, Samsung confirms that it will host the next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10 from Paris. The event takes place just weeks before the start of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, of which Samsung is a major sponsor.

The event will be broadcast live from Paris at 3:00 p.m. local time, or 9:00 a.m. ET / 6:00 a.m. PT. It will be available on YouTube and Samsung’s social channels.

The upcoming Unpacked event is expected to be incredibly busy, with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 as the central announcements. Samsung’s next generation of foldable devices is also expected to be joined by the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Ring, and likely a new set of Galaxy Tab S10 tablets. New headphones are also likely to be announced at or near the event.

Starting today, Samsung is opening reservations on its website for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, and the rest of these new devices.

Reservations are completely free and only require an email address, and there’s no commitment. Once you make a reservation, you’ll have the opportunity to pre-order one of Samsung’s new devices after their July 10 launch date and get a $50 credit that can be applied toward a Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Flip 6, or accessories.

Samsung also hints that it will offer enhanced trade-in credits or bundles with new devices. The company says that if you reserve, you can save “up to $1,500” when you pre-order later. Samsung often offers big savings when you buy multiple devices at once, so we’re guessing that’s where this huge number comes from. But, even if you don’t do a package, just making a reservation will save you $50.

From today until July 10, consumers who reserve one of the new Galaxy devices on Samsung.com can receive an instant $50 Samsung credit and save up to $1,500 when you pre-order one new Galaxy device.

If history serves as an example, a July 10 launch event likely hints that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 will see release dates near the end of August. A recent leak suggests that the Galaxy Watch 7 will be available on the same day as the event.
