Galaxy Buds 3 look like AirPods

Samsung is only a short time away from unveiling a slew of new phones, wearables, and headphones. One of the earbuds – the Galaxy Buds 3 – takes on a very familiar design that many might mistake for Apple’s AirPods.

Samsung has introduced several iterations of the Galaxy Buds over the past few years. Each of these models has brought something a little different to users, both in terms of design and features. The previous generation adopted a simple, comfortable, and capable earbud design. This year, things change a bit.

Thanks to leaked photos posted by Evan Blass on Twitter/X, the design of the Galaxy Buds 3 is now public. At first glance, one would be forgiven for not thinking that this is a product designed by Samsung. In fact, the Galaxy Buds 3 look a lot like Apple Airpod clones.

The earbuds adopt a stem design without any visible silicone tips. In fact, the inner portion of the bud sports a similar grilled speaker insert and multiple microphones along the top of the chassis. The stem itself is square rather than round and ends in two metal plates with the new hues of Samsung’s color palette – blue and orange. Along the stem is a black line. Comparing it to the previous images, it is possible that it is an LED strip or a capacitive sensor on both models.

The most surprising part of the leak is the lack of silicone tips on the Galaxy Buds 3, which raises the question of comfort during extended listening sessions. The leak also contains images of the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and these images feature a silicone-tipped product, although they still look like copied homework.

The Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro will be unveiled in Paris on July 10. Ahead of the event, Samsung is offering a very tempting deal that gives users a $50 credit and a chance to win $5,000 by simply reserving a free spot with their name and email. The $50 can go a long way toward accessories and cases. Samsung is also planning to offer discounted trade-ins.
