Fujifilm introduced the X Half Compact digital camera, designed for creators of emerging images. This device is compact and light, weighing 8.5 ounces (240 g). Inspired by Half-Cadre Cinema camerasThe half-time combines modern features with its half-rame heritage, offering a new approach to content creation.
The new Fujifilm camera is not necessarily a device intended for our main audience, but the innovation of designing it, alongside the creativity it suggests, deserves more than a mention. The key characteristics include a way to capture vertical fixed images and videos, bringing them together in a single frame, alongside a dedicated smartphone application and the possibility of printing to select the Fujifilm Instax smartphone printers. The application provides editing capacities, including the modification of the colors and division line sizes, or the left and right image exchange.

From my point of view, this camera is best suited to be called “My first Fujifilm”, or better still, the missing link between the popular company range of the company and the fixed focal cameras.
So what makes this camera so special, we could ask? To begin with, the 2-in-1 functionality of the camera allows users to combine fixed images and vertical films with a simple winding of the advance lever of the frame. Users can also create 2 in 1 images via the application dedicated to Smartphone X Half. In fact, the 1 -inch camera sensor is placed vertically to take pictures in this way. At the top, there is a lens Prime F2.8 10.8 mm (focal length of 35 mm equivalent of 32 mm). As simple, the camera takes photos in JPEG format only, which, in my opinion, corresponds to the needs of its target users.

The Fujifilm X Half is equipped with 13 films simulations to imitate the varieties of classic Fujifilm analogmm films. There are three new creative filters inspired by the photography of the film: Light flight, Halation and Expired film. The grain effect and the stamp on date are also found. In addition, half X includes eight filters from the Instax Instant Camera series.
After having selected a film simulation and a roller size of 36, 54 or 72 exhibitions, users will have an analog -type experience with half X, including the liquidation of the advance lever of the frame after each image.

In general, the body of the camera is very simplified. There is only one input / outlet / output in USB-C, a small integrated LED light and an optical viewfinder. At the rear, it has two LCD screens. The smaller screen (capsule shape) is to select and display the chosen film simulation, while the tactile screen screen with rear touch screen the largest ratio 3: 4 is to control the different camera modes, settings and navigation.

X Half is special because it delights our love for the compact camera and mixing with modern sensitivities that facilitate part of our daily life
