FromSoftware Producer Reappears After 3 Months, Drops Elden Ring DLC Image That Looks Exactly Like Bloodborne, Explains Nothing, Leaves
The Elden Ring community was already enraged after a surprise image from the Elden Ring DLC revealing a new version of an old enemy wielding what looks like a new type of weapon, and now FromSoftware producer Yasuhiro Kitao is gone and dropped another teaser that seems Exactly like Bloodborne, to the point where I didn’t even know if it was Elden Ring for a minute.
We haven’t heard from Kitao on Twitter since February 21, when he thanked the Elden Ring community “for waiting so patiently” for the DLC, likely shielding his eyes from ravenous superfans who would sell a kidney to play the DLC for four hours. early. Kitao reappeared to share the aforementioned enemy art, then quickly posted a photo of the environment that could pass for a postcard straight from Bloodborne’s Yharnam (which I’ve also embedded below).
The giveaway that this is actually Elden Ring would be the Grace spiral of lights in the background, but the style is really strange. I’ve long said that Lies of P is the closest thing to Bloodborne since Bloodborne, but no one does gothic darkness like FromSoft.
Without Legend of Kitao, all we have to do is: hey, look, a new area of Shadow of the Erdtree. But the lack of information has never stopped FromSoftware fans from speculating before.
This area has certainly reduced the shadow part; I manually lit the image to look a little closer. Based on the architecture, I’m guessing this is one of the large legacy dungeons from the DLC. Based on the lighted corridors, the central throne, and the overall decoration and architecture, it looks like a large castle-type dungeon. The main hall housing the Site of Grace is almost cathedral-like, with impressive spiers as a backdrop as well. It’s hard to make out the thin, dark dots, but the raised windows in the back make it clear that this is a multi-level environment.
My biggest theory about the tinfoil hats is this: there are small statues that look like dragons or griffins along the right columns, and combined with the many hanging cages in this photo – one of which is destroyed in a way that indicates something escaped – it makes me wonder if we’ll be dealing with more flying enemies in this area. Exactly what I wanted: more Elden Ring birds.
