Austin Metcalf’s latest Instagram post, made 27 weeks ago, shows several strokes of him in a football match.

Austin, 17, was fatally stabbed on Wednesday morning during an ISD Frisco track meeting at the David Kuykendall stadium. The Frisco Memorial Junior was elected MVP from the school football team and ran a track, in addition to having a 4.0 GPA, according to his father.
Another 17 -year -old, Karmelo Anthony, was arrested and faces a murder accusation in Austin’s death, police announced. Anthony frequents the hundred High School, the police said.
After the fatal stab wounds, the name of Austin became an online trend subject because the comments of his latest social media publications began to fill in comments offering prayers and condolences to the Metcalf family, which launched a gofundme to collect funds for funeral costs.
Hope Fellowship church in Frisco held a prayer vigil for him on Wednesday evening.
Hunter Metcalf, the identical twin brother of Austin, described Austin as “the real definition of loyalty” in a series of messages to his Instagram history showing the two brothers over the years.
“My heart is still in pain and denial,” said Hunter a childhood photo of the two back to back, wearing side baseball caps. “But you were my partner in crime. When I was down, you were there anyway. You were the most faithful person I never knew and attentive, you were so attentive that I could not do more to save you man. ”
Their father, Jeff Metcalf, told Kxas-TV (NBC5) that Hunter had witnessed stab wounds and that Austin died in his brother’s arms while Hunter tried to stop the bleeding.
Jalaal Abdullah, an Austin teammate at Frisco Memorial High, described Austin as “a real inspiration” in an article in his Instagram history showing the two visiting the University of Arkansas.
“He has always found a way to get the best of everyone, including me,” wrote Jalaal. “I wouldn’t be where I am without you.”
Jalaal, a Memorial and Safety junior in the football team, said The Dallas Morning News That Austin was not only a leader of the football team, but he was the heart and soul of all school. Austin was a pillar of volleyball and basketball matches, acting as a cheerleader for his students, and has always had time to listen to his ear and offer advice to friends who are going through difficult times, said Jalaal.
“He inspired life in everyone around him,” said Jalaal. “He always liked to see people succeed.“”
Jalaal said that after a difficult second year, he was planning to abandon football, but decided not to have seen him how Austin worked hard in training.
“During all the time, I just looked at Austin and how much efforts, (how) a lot he gave the team,” he said. “He made football fun again.”
Jackson Childers, a Memorial student, said Metcalf was his best friend in a series of messages in his Instagram history.
“I love you so much,” he subtitled a position of him, Austin and another boy. “Idk what I’m going to do without you.”
“You have touched a lot of hearts,” read another article. Jackson sent a message to The news This included a message from him that was shared during the Wednesday prayer vigil, in which he described Austin as his brother.

The representative of the State of Texas, Jared Patterson, R-Frisco, said that he and his wife had “the heart broken by this unspeakable tragedy”.
“Austin Metcalf was among the best of what Frisco ISD had to offer,” wrote Patterson. “I cannot imagine the hatred that was brought at this stage Wednesday morning, but I pray for peace and love for our community during this period of immeasurable sorrow.”
Austin’s latest post, only days before stabbing, was also flooded with comments and likes, reaching more than a million views on Thursday.
“The faith that God obtained to me,” wrote Metcalf, adding an emoji of heart, “and my work will pay.”
“May God be with you and watch over your family and friends right now,” said an answer.
