Fresno man tries to meet child for sex, gets arrested, deputies say

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 32-year-old man was arrested after allegedly attempting to meet a child for sexual purposes, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies said Thursday that members of the Central Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force contacted the suspect, identified as Brock Sanders, 32, of Fresno, who was the subject of a warrant. active arrest for contacting a child for sexual purposes.

Sheriff’s officials say whether the man may have encountered the juvenile is still under investigation.

Detectives say they seized one of his electronic devices containing digital photos and videos of child sexual abuse material.

Deputies say the man was arrested, but has since been released from jail after posting bond.

Authorities wanted to remind parents to be vigilant when their children use websites and social media, and advise them to maintain an open dialogue with their children to build trust.
