PARIS – A group of French cryptocurrency French entrepreneurs and their families will receive improved security following two successful kidnappings and an attempted abduction involving industry leaders and their relatives.
Measures include priority access to the police emergency line, home visits and security forces safety briefings to advise best practices, the French Interior Ministry said. The law enforcement agents will also follow “anti-Crypto training on asset whitening”.
“These repeated kidnappings of professionals in the cryptography sector will take place with specific, immediate and short -term tools to prevent, dissuade and hinder in order to protect industry,” said Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau said in a statement on Friday.
