The bay region houses five of the happiest and stressful cities in the country, according to a pair of rankings.
In the past year, the Wallethub financial information website was twice ranked 182 major American cities – including 29 in California – for measures of what I will call “Serenity”.
One measure follows happiness while other gauges stressed life. Happy was defined by 29 measures to mark the well -being, the economy and the community, while 39 data points noted key stress – work, financial, family, health and security.
My faithful calculation sheet obtained on average these notes to classify cities for a global feeling of serenity.
The most serene city was Fremont, who received the first honor in the two rankings. Others in the Top Five of Serenity were Sioux Falls, southern Dakota; Lincoln, Nebraska; Overland Park, Kansas; And Bismarck, Dakota from the North.
The Bay region was also placed high on the Serenity dashboard: n ° 6 San Jose – from a happiest note and a classification n ° 15 the least stressed – and n ° 24 San Francisco – No. 9 the happiest and the n ° 43 the least stressed.
In the south of California, Irvine ranked n ° 7 in the combined dashboard, with a note n ° 3 for happiness and a score n ° 16 for a low stress. Huntington Beach was n ° 18 for Serenity – n ° 10 for the happiest and n ° 34 at least stressed.

Moreno Valley: N ° 102 – N ° 89 HAPPIET, n ° 117 BASTE stress.
Stockton: N ° 103 – n ° 112 HAPPIET, No. 96 Weak stress.
Los Angeles: N ° 110 – N ° 77 HAPPIET, No. 141 Weak stress.
Modesto: N ° 127 – N ° 103 HAPPY MOST, n ° 143 BASTE stress.

The least serene of the 182 cities, by these mathematics, were Cleveland, Detroit, Memphis, Gulfport, Mississippi and Birmingham, Alabama.
