Freddie Freeman of Dodgers reduced the ankle after an “incident” shower, says Dave Roberts

The Los Angeles Dodgers will not have Freddie Freeman in the alignment of the Monday match against the Braves of Atlanta after having undergone an ankle injury in the shower.

Manager Dave Roberts told journalists that the veteran had slipped and injured the ankle in the shower and is considered on a daily basis. He also said that it was a “misadventure” who made Freeman refined his right ankle which had been repaired previously.

The first base player did not play in the first two games of the Dodgers of the season against the Chicago Cubs in Japan on March 18 and 19 due to a coast injury, but he returned to alignment for their three game sets against the Tigers de Detroit on March 27-29.

He started these three games and reduced .250 / .250 / .833 with two circuits and four produced points while taking up where he stopped in a view to being able to win the World Series MVP last season.

Freeman is one of the best players of his generation with a curriculum vitae which includes two World Series titles, a MVP from the National League, the World Series MVP from last year, eight All-Star selections, three Silver Sluggers and a gold glove.

Although he was 35 years old, he did not show any signs of slowdown in 2024 as a star who reduced .282 / .378 / .476 with 22 circuits and 89 points produced. He, Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani give dodgers a lot of stars power in their alignment every night, which is one of the reasons why they appear on the list of realistic suitors of the World Series.

Los Angeles is already 5-0 on the campaign despite being without Freeman and Betts for the first two games against the Cubs.

He is much more likely to defend his crown of the World Series with a healthy free man in the programming in October, but he has enough depth to walk on water during what could be a short -term absence given the daily designation.

Enrique Hernández played the first goal in these first two games and could meet again until the normal starter is ready to return.
