Frank Lampard opened his return to Chelsea as a boss in 2023 – when he was used to collect the parts after the short -term reign of Graham Potter.
The Blues struggled at the start of their new property following the acquisition of Todd Boehly and Blueco of the club in the spring of 2022, who saw American businessmen buy the club of the favorite owner of the Romanesque fans Abramovic.
Thomas Tuchel had left the club, with Potter who then lasted a little more than six months in charge before being relieved of his duties with Chelsea in difficulty in the Premier League.
Lampard responded to the club’s SOS call to lead the team until the end of the season, and intensified in need of their former team to drive them at the end of the campaign until Mauricio Pochettino is appointed.
It was the second time that Lampard was in charge of the team, after a stay of 18 months between July 2019 and January 2021 before it was also released.
Now, the boss of Coventry has raised the cover on the state of what he found when he returned inside Stamford Bridge – and that does not read for the current club owners.

It is not long after Todd Boehly and Blueco bought the club in Roman Abramovic
“I saw things that I know can’t be fair in elite football and that’s the truth,” Lampard told Sky Sports. “I did not like to work in this short period because it is difficult to give an idea when you go, but Chelsea will always be a massive club of my life.
“But when I understand that Chelsea standards – during this period, many players were in transition perhaps leaving and certain problems and motivation were a problem – in a temporary period, you cannot really affect this.
“When you see the results, I am sufficiently experienced to find out what is good and what’s wrong and basic things in a field of training on a field.
“I have not learned anything tactical, but it has strengthened my beliefs from all my experiences when you know what a group really fights in the same direction – how strong it can be and when it is not the case, it can be really difficult.”
Lampard spent 13 years in Chelsea as a player and is the top scorer of all the club’s time with 211 goals in 648 games.
There, he won three Premier League titles and a Champions League, before leaving in 2014, while Abramovic still led the show.
As manager of the club, he led Chelsea to fourth place in the Premier League and to the FA Cup final, but was dismissed when the club was ninth.
When Boehly and Co took over, the club was criticized for having signed so many players, with reports suggesting that the players had to sit on the ground during team meetings due to the large number in the team.

Abramovic sold the club in 2022 and had led the show during the time of Lampard as a player and his first pass as a coach

He was previously in charge for 18 months between 209 and 2021 before being dismissed himself

Lampard was then left to clean the mess, before returning to the former boss of the Pochettino Spurs.
Now, he was successful with Coventry in the championship, leading them to fifth place in the second division, where they are serious contenders to compete for a place in the Premier League of next season.
