Francisco San Martin, who was perhaps best known to fans of daytime soap operas for his roles on the NBC show The days of our lives and CBS’ The Bold and the Beautifulwas found dead in his Los Angeles home on January 16. He was 39 years old.
The cause of death, according to the Los Angeles County Coroners Office, was suicide by hanging.

On NBC DaysSan Martin ran for six months in 2011 as Dario Hernández, who first arrived in Salem appearing as a simple thief; the role was then played in 2015–2016 by Guiding light former Jordi Vilasuso.
In 2017, San Martin had a brief arc on CBS Guest rooms as Mateo, a Forrester Manor staff member who was recruited/paid by Sheila to seduce Quinn (although he ended up being rebuffed).

San Martin’s television credits also included those of The CW. Jane the Virginwhere in seasons 3 and 4 he played Fabian Regalo del Cielo, an actor from Rogelio’s telenovela Guillermo’s travels. Jane was immediately attracted to Fabian, and the two had a brief and ultimately messy courtship.
