“It’s a continuous process. Until now we were producing around 10 radars per year, now the goal is to exceed 20 per year,” Descourvières said.

The company is reorganizing every part of the production chain. The Limours factory now has four test chambers to develop the antennas, compared to three previously, and has set up 17 test areas for the assembled radars, compared to a dozen a few months ago.

To speed up assembly, Thales is coordinating with suppliers. “Perfect synchronization of material arrivals is required to avoid waste and waiting,” said Eric Marceau, vice-president of radar activity strategy.
