HOME CALLED RACE: Alaska Democratic incumbent Mary Peltola beat her general election opponents, including former Governor Sarah Palin, to represent Alaska Greater Congressional District for a full term in the House, the Associated Press projects. Alaska’s only congressional district is currently represented by Peltola after winning a special election in August to fill the remainder of former GOP Rep. MONITOR SURVEY: With focus on 2024 presidential election, more voters would rather see Florida Governor Ron DeSantis run instead of former President Trump, according to a Quinnipiac University poll conducted days after the former president announced his candidacy. When asked who they would like to see win the 2024 GOP nomination in a hypothetical matchup between Trump and DeSantis, 43% said they would like to see the governor of Florida represent the party in 2024 while 29% would prefer Trump. Republican voters were evenly split (44% versus 44%) among those they would like to see represent the party in the next election. FIRST ON FOX: As he heads into a likely run for the White House in 2024, former Vice President Mike Pence will return to the crucial state of New Hampshire for the early voting presidential nomination. Fox News has learned that, on December 12, Pence will stop at New Hampshire, which has been organizing the first primary on the road to the White House for a century. Pence will host two book signings for his new autobiography “So Help Me God,” in which the former vice president chronicles his career, including his four years serving then-President Donald Trump. Warnock wins Georgia election runoff against Walker next month. Speaking to Fox News Digital, Cruz pointed out the difference between a 50-50 Senate with power shared between Republicans and Democrats, and a 51-49 Senate where Democrats would have greater control and be able to pass a more ambitious legislation.
