Fox News anchor peels off, berates ‘stupid’ liberal colleague

Fox Business Network anchor Charles Payne blew a gasket Wednesday when a liberal pundit tried to defend President Joe Biden’s gaffes, calling his on-air colleague’s comments “stupid” and ” insulting.”

During the Fox News midday show OutnumberedPayne blasted the president for repeating his oft-repeated false claim that he once drove a large 18-wheeler.

“It’s interesting. I saw someone complaining Donald Trump exaggerating,” Payne growled. “There is a big difference between exaggerating and simply lying. Maybe it’s his memory, but it’s one after the other.

After Payne called the situation “surreal” and akin to a “comedic plot” in a sitcom, liberal radio host Leslie Marshall said Trump was also known to lie. She also noted that it’s actually the ex-president who often gets a pass for misspeaking or missing a line.

“From my perspective, when Joe Biden misses a word, I hear about it everywhere. I don’t hear about it with former President Trump,” Marshall said.

Attempting to contrast her own occasional verbal errors with the president, Marshall recounted a recent instance where she mixed up Pakistan and Palestine on air.

This didn’t sit well with Payne, who immediately cut the veteran radio host off and began berating her. “It always offends me when people talk to me and us like we’re stupid! What you are doing is such a stupid example! We’re not talking about you or me or her making the occasional blunder,” the Make money growled the host.

While Marshall tried to tell his colleague that she didn’t think he was “idiot,” Payne, animated, continued his outburst. “We’re talking gaffe after gaffe after gaffe after gaffe,” the Fox Business star shouted, waving her arm up and down.

“I don’t appreciate you calling me an idiot!” Marshall retorted.

“No, you’re not stupid!” You are insulting! Payne fired back before repeating the word “blunder” over and over again. “It’s ridiculous!”

After Payne finished his performative rant, the rest of the panel’s pro-Trump hosts also began lecturing Marshall for offering a mild defense of the president’s verbal errors and fables.

“He does it in every speech,” whispered Kayleigh McEnany, former Trump host turned Fox News host. “That’s why, Leslie, every poll shows that the majority of American voters don’t think he has the mental acuity! »

Marshall, meanwhile, attempted to calmly respond to the over-the-top rhetoric displayed by Payne in another in a never-ending series of Fox News segments about Biden’s cognitive abilities.

“I never said it was one-off,” she stressed. “What I’m saying is that I think it’s okay for people to blunder. I use notes when I give a speech. I’m not running for president.”
