Epic Games has promised that an “unforgettable” Big Bang event will take place in Fortnite on December 2, likely featuring Eminem.
A Fortnite blog post revealed that the event would start at 11:00 AM Pacific / 2:00 PM Eastern / 7:00 PM UK, although the experience will be available in the Battle Royale tile in Discover 30 minutes before. It supports groups of up to four players and comes with a warning of photosensitivity and seizures from flashing lights.
The Big Bang event will “evolve all things as you know them” according to an article on X/Twitter (below) and will feature a “memorable reveal near the end.” This is likely the transition to a new chapter as the OG Fortnite update, which saw the highest number of players ever, is being replaced by something new.

Eminem will likely also be there, according to a leak that surfaced before the announcement of the Big Bang event, as revealed by HypeX on X/Twitter. Slim Shady will apparently appear as a skin, but since Epic Games likes music stars to hold virtual concerts in Fortnite, a performance by the rapper is also planned.
The Big Bang event will have a lot to prove given the popularity of the current OG update, which saw 44.7 million players log in in a single day during what Epic Games described as “the most big day in Fortnite history.”
It will also follow a wave of controversy as Epic Games implemented and then disabled age-restricted cosmetics, with players criticizing them as one of the “worst updates” in history from Fortnite.
