Former Trump official busts one of Trump’s favorite myths about himself

Donald Trump likes to think of himself as a big businessman, but at least one official who served under him says that’s not the case at all.

“Donald Trump is not a great businessman,” former Homeland Security chief of staff Miles Taylor told MeidasTouch. “He is a failed businessman on every level. Trump Steaks, Trump Vodka and Trump Airlines and we could go on and on.

Taylor also backed away from the argument that the former president’s wealth is proof of his business acumen.

“Al Capone was incredibly rich,” he said. “You can be rich and not be a great businessman. You may be a fraudster. And we’ve seen it with Donald Trump throughout his history. Even those who fervently supported him came away saying, “He’s a total fraud.”

Taylor said Trump took all of his worst tendencies from business with him to the White House.

“And in many ways he made the American government its greatest failure yet,” he said, adding that Trump’s “volatile and corrupt nature” made it difficult for government departments and agencies to function. .

“I saw it in our own department,” he said, where he couldn’t do his job effectively because he was too focused on pushing Trump.

“I had to spend my time focusing on how we handle the president,” he said. “That’s not the sign of a good businessman.” He clearly doesn’t communicate or delegate very well. It is the sign of the exact opposite.

He warned business leaders who think Trump could be better for the bottom line that a second Trump term would be so volatile that it would be “dangerous and destabilizing” for the U.S. economy.

On Sunday, Trump attacked his critics and specifically called Taylor a “weak, pathetic RINO.”

“Other than seeing him on TV, I have no idea, since my administration days, who he is,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social website. “I guess he’s a scammer because he’s getting paid to talk about a subject he knows nothing about, ME.”
