The former NFL star, Ray Seals, who was best known for his time with the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay and the Pittsburgh Steelers, died at 59 years old. No cause of death was immediately known.
Seals is one of the last NFL players to never play university football. Antonio Gates, alongside current players Jordan Mailata and Brandon Aubrey.
Seals played football in high school in Henninger in Syracuse, New York and took a few years off before recovering on the grill.
In 1986, he played for Syracuse Express of the Empire football league, which led to the attention of the NFL.
Seals played for two seasons with the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay before, separating a year with lions and foals.
Seals then returned to the Buccaneers for two more seasons, then two others with the Steelers before ending his professional career with Bengals and Panthers.

You can also remember Seals for hitting a transmission of Brett Favre to Quarterrière, which counted as its very first completion in the NFL.
On social networks, the member of the Tiffany Seals family shared the news of the death of Ray.
“As many of you already know … It is with a heavy heart to share the death of our beloved brother Raymond B. Seals,” said Tiffany. “Words cannot express the pain of losing such a staple in our family.”
“For the world, he was perhaps known as (Big Play Ray) … For his strength on the football field, an NFL player with passion, determination and heart. But for us, it was so much more. A father, a son, a brother a nephew, a cousin, a friend.
“His presence filled each piece. Losing him leaves a silence that says a lot, but his inheritance will forever speak through the memories and the lives he touched.
“Please keep our family and especially their raised children while we are trying to sail in this deep and extremely painful loss. Rest well, #bigplayray, you will always be loved and never forgotten.
